The schedule says 2 weeks of 7am-7pm and 2 weeks of 7pm -7am. Is that a full 14 days in a row or is there some sort of rotation with days off during that cycle? Thanks.

It is not 14 days in a row. In fact you only work 7 out of 14 days… Goes like this:
M-T work
W-Th off
F-Sa-Su work
M-T off
W-Th work
F-Sa-Su off
So, you are off on a 3-day weekend every other weekend.
Our officers love the schedule!

I’m applying for the test…. I’m a veteran of Iraqi Freedom. Will I get points added to my final score? How does that work?
abingtonpd // February 1, 2008 at 3:03 pm
Ryan – thanks for your military service!
Veterans receive 10 points added to their final score, as per civil service law. You’ll need to submit a DD-214 in order to claim the “veteran’s preference.”

When do I submit the DD-214? I’ve already mailed in the application and fee for the test.

You will be contacted regarding that aspect should you successfully progress in the testing process.
